Welcome to Guyhirn Church of England School website.
On this website we try to give you a flavour of the school, but the best way to find out more is to come and visit us during a school day.
Happy children learn best!
We currently have 75 children working in 3 mixed age classes, as well as our own pre-school on site. The education of each child includes not only their academic achievement, but their social, moral, spiritual, creative and physical development. We have high expectations in all areas including sport, music and the arts, and children are encouraged to achieve their best. As a result, children have made very strong progress over recent years and we are extremely pleased to be able to say that Guyhirn Church of England Primary School has been judged to be a GOOD school in all areas (Ofsted July 2016):
Overall effectiveness GOOD
Effectiveness of Leadership and Management GOOD
Quality of Teaching, Learning and Assessment GOOD
Personal development, Behaviour and Welfare GOOD
Outcomes for Pupils GOOD
Early Years Provision (Nursery and Reception) GOOD.
Childhood is a very special time so we aim to make school life an experience which is stimulating, meaningful, memorable and fun. We will support each child in learning how to learn, building their independence and confidence. As we value each member of the school community, so the children value one another.
Learning is a partnership between home and school, and your role is crucial: we aim to keep you well informed and you are always welcome to come into school to talk to us. We very much believe that every child matters and we seek to provide the very best of opportunities to increase each child’s life chances as they face a rapidly changing future.
We provide equality of learning opportunities for all children in school, regardless of gender, race, age or disability.
If you would like to come into school to find out more, please do call us and we will be happy to make an appointment. We look forward to meeting and working with you.
